Avondale School District proudly welcomed five outstanding athletes and coaches into the Avondale Athletic Hall of Fame on Friday, September 12, 2025. Honorees were celebrated during a heartfelt induction ceremony, treated to a delicious dinner catered by Avondale’s Dining Services team, and recognized at halftime during the evening’s home football game—a fitting tribute to their achievements and contributions to Avondale athletics.

We are excited to announce that Ms. Carly Kozlowski has been selected as the new Principal of Woodland Elementary! Her hiring was approved by the Board of Education on September 2, and she officially begins her role today, Monday, September 8.

This summer, Avondale students didn’t just take a break—they dove into exciting opportunities for learning, exploring, and creating. From preschoolers giggling through water days to middle schoolers tackling real-world challenges and culinary creations, our summer programs provided experiences that were as enriching as they were fun.

Behind the scenes, it took an incredible team of dedicated staff who gave up part of their summer to make this possible. Their commitment to student success was on full display, and for that, the entire Avondale community says a heartfelt thank you.

A full Summer Program Review will be presented at the August 18 Board of Education meeting, but here’s a look back at some of the moments that made this summer unforgettable.
