Avondale High School is hosting their annual Caring and Sharing Week December 3-11, 2024!
This year, they are raising money for Friends of Foster Care. This charity provides Holiday gifts for children in the foster system in addition to basic need supplies and helping throughout the year with school supplies and transitioning to adulthood. Classes at the high school are sponsoring wish lists, and we need your help.
The wish list with essential products like clothing and hygiene products can be found here. If you are able, please consider purchasing an item off the list. All items will come directly to the high school. Thank you for all your support.
US News & World Report recently released their 2025 Best Elementary Schools and Best Middle Schools rankings. Avondale School District is excited to share that Avondale GATE Magnet School was ranked #2 in Michigan Middle Schools and #4 in Michigan Elementary Schools!
On December 19 & 20, the Avondale Youth Theatre Company will present "Squirrel Girl goes to College". The performance will feature the talents of Avondale elementary through middle school students. The curtain goes up at 6:05pm in the Avondale High School Performing Arts Center (2800 Waukegan, Auburn Hills). Tickets will be available at avondaletheatrecompany.ludus.com, closer to the performance dates. Check back for updates!

Accelerated Pathways Application Window Opens December 9, 2024
The Accelerated Pathways program supports high school students who seek academic acceleration by providing access to opportunities for early advancement in their learning. Students receive guidance from the Accelerated Pathway coordinator in course planning, facilitating both academic acceleration and postsecondary planning. Application is for incoming 9th graders, opening December 9th, 2024 for the 2025-2026 school year.
There are 4 parts to the Accelerated Pathways application process.

Recommendation Form for Staff: Student kindly asks a teacher, counselor or administrator who knows them well to complete the Accelerated Pathway recommendation form. Please email the staff member this link. https://forms.gle/JB8NLUCX2ocF85nm9
