The Avondale Athletic Hall of Fame inducted the class of 2024 on Friday, October 4th!

- Hank Woodmore
- 1988 Football Team
The inductees were honored during a ceremony in the Avondale High School Auditorium, followed by a dinner and recognition during the AHS home football game. The Hall of Fame then hosted it's annual golf outing on Saturday, October 5 at Fieldstone Golf Club. The outing raises money for the Hall of Fame, which is a non-profit organization. Those funds are then used towards athletic scholarships.
This week’s Avondale Board of Education meeting was a truly special and meaningful occasion, as the district came together to honor former Board Member Dr. Crystal Sanford-Brown and unveil a heartfelt project that will leave a lasting legacy for generations of Avondale’s youngest learners.
Avondale Unified hosted the first ever "Tip-Off Night" December 17 as a full start to the basketball season. The event featured 5 schools from around the metro Detroit area coming together to play before heading into the holiday break. There were a total of 4 games played and close over 65 athletes taking part in the event.
