The Avondale Athletic Hall of Fame inducted the class of 2024 on Friday, October 4th!
Congratulations to the following remarkable Avondale Athletes:

- Kyle Redwine
- Hank Woodmore
- 1988 Football Team
The inductees were honored during a ceremony in the Avondale High School Auditorium, followed by a dinner and recognition during the AHS home football game. The Hall of Fame then hosted it's annual golf outing on Saturday, October 5 at Fieldstone Golf Club. The outing raises money for the Hall of Fame, which is a non-profit organization. Those funds are then used towards athletic scholarships.

In the newly released 2026 U.S. News & World Report rankings, GATE Magnet School was ranked #2 Best Middle School in Michigan and #4 Best Elementary School in Michigan, continuing its long-standing record of academic excellence.
Avondale GATE history teacher, Zachary Kaczanowski was recently selected as the Michigan representative for the Medal of Honor Legacy: The War on Terror program—a nationally recognized professional learning experience that brings together educators from across the country to explore history, civic values, and character education.
