Congratulations to Madison Lantz (clarinet) and Justin Francisco (trombone) on their selection to the 2024 Oakland University Honors Band! They will have the opportunity to work with world renowned composer Andrew Perkins and make music alongside an all star ensemble of some of the best high school musicians in SE Michigan!
Max Richmond, an 8th-grade student at Avondale GATE Magnet School in Rochester Hills, Ml, has been named one of this year’s recipients of the highly coveted Caroline D. Bradley (CDB) Scholarship. This prestigious national award recognizes academically gifted students and provides full high school tuition for winners at the institution of their choice. Max is among a select group of scholars from across the country to receive this scholarship, showcasing his exceptional academic promise, leadership, and dedication to his community.
The Caroline D. Bradley Scholarship is awarded to students who demonstrate advanced intellectual capabilities, a passion for learning, and the potential for significant future contributions in their fields. As part of the rigorous selection process, candidates must complete a comprehensive application, including essays, academic records, and letters of recommendation, as well as undergo a detailed interview process.
